The YFM-backed printing firm Macro Art has acquired Aluvista, a specialist display product supplier. Aluvista was formed in 2008 by Simon Eve and supplies aluminium Tension Fabric Systems, Lightboxes and display products for large format graphic printing, soft signage and display. Aluvista’s customers typically work in the retail, exhibition, commercial and residential interiors markets.
James Jennings, Managing Director at Macro Art said: “Macro Art’s reliance on the types of product available from Aluvista, has been ever increasing since we moved our focus away from simply printing to adding value in the form of aluminium systems, install and project management. Moving toward a complete turnkey operation. The acquisition became a natural step after discussions with Simon revealed he’d also like to enhance his offering by combining the frames with print and move away from a price-driven commodity offering. This move will also enable Simon to free his time from simply production toward product development and design, with the additional manpower available at Macro to help with the day to day running. Now it is about strategy for Macro Art and enhancing the benefits a collaboration like this gives long-term, in terms of market share, diversification and growth.
James Jennings added “It will add weight to our offering, clearly showing clients we have true in-house capabilities with the confidence that brings. The key to our development is our niche unique skill sets, exceptional customer service and products that add value to our clients offering, ultimately setting Macro apart from the competition.”
