ACC Aviation, the global aviation services group, which is backed by YFM Equity Partners (YFM), has appointed James Stamp as a non-executive director.
James is currently group commercial director of National Express PLC. Prior to joining National Express in 2017, James was a partner at KPMG LLP, where he advised leading transport companies in his roles as UK head of transport and global head of aviation. He was instrumental in helping the practice grow its market share to 40%-plus, working as lead relationship partner for various established legacy and low-cost airlines.
James’ deep sector experience gained at KPMG, in addition to his current role with a leading international public transport operator, active in the UK, Europe, North Africa, Americas and the Middle East – core markets for ACC Aviation’s aviation services and consulting business – makes for a natural fit.
Jamie Roberts, YFM partner and head of new investments in the South, said: “we are really pleased that ACC can attract someone of James’ calibre and experience of the global transport industry.”
ACC Aviation chairman Phil Aird-Mash added: “James’ skillset and experience will enhance the capabilities and strengths of our board of directors as we advance our strategy and investment in the aviation services division. We welcome James to the board.”
James Stamp said: “I am delighted to take on this non-executive role at ACC Aviation and become immersed in commercial aviation once again. I’m also looking forward to exploring synergies and sharing ideas with their exceptional and dynamic leadership team.”
