Why We Invested

We first invested in GEEIQ in 2023, attracted by its first mover advantage in a new but rapidly emerging market, its strong relationship with Roblox, and a cohort of innovative brand customers experimenting with virtual worlds. Since then, both the market and the business have matured significantly, reinforcing our conviction in the long-term opportunity and GEEIQ’s position within it.

Growth Potential

Market Maturation
Virtual worlds have evolved from a niche, experimental concept into a mainstream, mobile-first, creator-led ecosystem. Platforms such as Roblox (now 500m+ MAU) continue to see rapid user growth alongside increasing brand adoption, with virtual worlds becoming a structural marketing channel.

Unique Positioning
GEEIQ remains the only provider with private data flows across multiple platforms — including Roblox, Zepeto and Fortnite — as well as key creators. This enables independent, cross-platform ROI measurement, addressing one of the biggest barriers to increased brand investment.

Business Progression
While early growth was impacted by churn during the tariff wars, the business returned to growth in Q4, delivered a record Q1, and now has a strong pipeline. The customer base has evolved towards large sports and entertainment brands, with spend increasingly seen as structural rather than experimental.

Follow-On Investment
Our £4.8m follow-on investment reflects our conviction in both the market and GEEIQ’s position as the independent data intelligence layer within it. The funding will support continued product development, expansion across verticals and geographies, and the scaling of the platform.
