Jamie Roberts Appointed Managing Partner at YFM
Continued Growth and Strategic Focus
YFM Equity Partners is pleased to share an important development in the ongoing evolution of its leadership team, designed to support the firm’s ambitious growth plans and long-term strategy.
As part of this planned progression, Jamie Roberts has been appointed as Managing Partner, with Eamon Nolan taking on a dedicated role as Head of Investor Relations & Fundraising. This transition reflects YFM’s commitment to continuity and strategic consistency as we continue to support ambitious UK businesses and deliver long-term value for our investors.
A Natural Progression in Leadership
Jamie has been an integral part of YFM’s leadership team for over a decade. During this time, he has helped shape the firm’s investment strategy, expand its national footprint, and grow the team — with headcount increasing from 39 to 64 over the last five years. His appointment represents a natural step forward for the firm and reinforces the strong leadership foundations already in place.
In his new role as Managing Partner, Jamie will focus on delivering YFM’s long-term growth ambitions, deepening the firm’s regional presence and continuing to broaden its sector reach.
“I’m honoured to take on the role of Managing Partner at such an exciting time for YFM,” Jamie commented. “We have a clear mission: to support ambitious UK small businesses and deliver long-term value for our investors, whilst being a great place for our team to grow their careers. With Eamon continuing to lead our investor relations and fundraising, we remain as aligned and focused as ever on our growth ambitions.”
Strengthening Investor Relationships
Following his successful tenure as Managing Partner, Eamon Nolan will continue to play a pivotal leadership role at YFM as Head of Investor Relations & Fundraising. In this capacity, he will focus on deepening relationships with existing and prospective investors — building on the firm’s strong track record of alignment, transparency and long-term partnership.
Eamon brings a wealth of experience and insight to this role, and his continued leadership underscores the importance YFM places on maintaining and strengthening connections with its investor base.
“As we continue to grow and engage more deeply with our investor base,” said Eamon, “I’m excited to focus my energies on building and strengthening those relationships. Jamie’s appointment as Managing Partner is a natural next step for YFM and reflects the strength of leadership we have developed across the firm.”
Building on 2025 Momentum
This leadership update comes at a time of strong momentum for YFM. In the first half of 2025, the firm has continued to deliver on its mission to support UK growth businesses through new investments and successful fundraising activity. Highlights include:
- £75 million raised for the British Smaller Companies VCTs, completed in just 11 weeks
- £4 million investment into Vypr, a leading product intelligence platform
- Series A lead investment in StormHarvester, a company pioneering automated water management software
- £12.4 million investment into Audiological Science, a London-based hearing technology provider
These recent developments reflect YFM’s ongoing focus on finding and supporting high-potential businesses, while delivering value for investors through disciplined deployment and active portfolio support.
A Clear Vision for the Future
At YFM, we remain deeply committed to our purpose: to back ambitious small businesses with the capital and support they need to scale. With a stable and experienced leadership team in place, we are well-positioned to continue growing our regional presence, expanding into new sectors, and enhancing the value we deliver to all our stakeholders.
We thank our investors, portfolio companies, and team for their continued trust and support — and look forward to the next chapter in YFM’s growth journey.
