Traveltek named as one of the top five Scottish tech companies to watch

Insider’s special report on Scottish technology companies has named Traveltek as one of the top 5   companies to watch.

East Kilbride-based Traveltek recently secured a £5.3m investment from YFM Equity Partners to build on its progress to date. The business develops technology used by travel agents and tour operators to package together hotels, flights, cruises and ancillary travel services in one transaction.

Traveltek has delivered a near 250 per cent increase in sales in the last four years and now has additional bases in England, Australia and the US.

The company has also recently managed to break into the very tough Brazilian market. Traveltek teamed up with Brazil’s leading leisure travel wholesaler, Trend Operadora, to provide its portal to Trend’s travel agency partners.

Traveltek invested c.£1m and two years of hard work to make sure its platform was fit for purpose in the Brazilian market.
