YFM Equity Partners (YFM) has today announced the appointment of Adam Hart as Investment Manager. Based in the London office, Adam will be focussing on supporting YFM’s new investment activity, working with the existing team of partners to deploy funds into growing businesses at points of transformational change.
Adam’s appointment follows a busy period for YFM, with investments in DSP and CPMS from its Buyout Fund 1, marking the sixth and seventh investments from the fund, as well as recent scale up capital investments in Arcus Global, Eikon and Ncam from its two advised VCTs.
Adam, a qualified chartered accountant, joins from WK Corporate Finance, where he worked closely with management teams looking to raise capital and undertake buyouts, and with business owners seeking an exit. He also gained experience in the transaction services team where he worked alongside private equity investors deploying growth capital into early stage companies, primarily in the technology sector.
Paul Cannings, Partner at YFM said: “Adam joins at an exciting time for YFM, when we are seeing strong demand for funding to support growing businesses, particularly in YFM’s core funding range of £2-10m of equity. We continue to look for opportunities to deploy capital and Adam will play a key role in helping us deliver our ambitious plans over the coming years.”
Adam Hart added: “I am thrilled to be joining the YFM team at what is clearly a very exciting time for the business. I have been lucky enough to work closely with some of the team whilst in my previous role at WK, and have long been impressed with their supportive and collaborative approach, and their track record of investing in dynamic, ambitious businesses. I look forward to being part of the continued success.”
