Finlay leads the internal and external ESG strategy at YFM, supporting both the company and our portfolio in setting and achieving sustainability targets. Additionally, he provides resources and training to promote sustainability, attends ESG conferences, and represents YFM in industry working groups.
Finlay joined in 2024 from Furthr, a growing carbon accounting platform. He has over 7 years’ consulting experience working with lower mid-market PE managers, having worked for MJ Hudson and Holtara, where he advised GPs, LPs, and SMEs on how to design and execute ESG strategies. Finlay also holds a certificate in Investment Operations with the CISI.
Finlay’s main hobby is rugby however after a succession of knee injuries he retired at the ripe old age of 18. Other sporting interests include golf, running and ‘tag’ rugby (far safer version). Outside of sport, Finlay’s happiest when cooking, playing the guitar or catching up with friends.
