Elucidat named as one of the 2020 UK’s Best Workplaces

A great culture is just one of the reasons why 93% of Elucidat employees say it’s ‘a great place to work’. There are many more, according to UK’s Best Workplaces ranking by Great Place to Work®. Elucidat was recognised this year along with 161 other UK organisations. They are the top Brighton based business to receive this accolade.

The benchmark report highlights corporate social responsibility; employee recognition; and strategy and direction as three key areas where Elucidat excels.

The company’s strength of culture has helped the team adapt and thrive during the COVID-19 pandemic. Eucidat’s employee net promoter score increased by 3 points in April to 41, amidst a shift to remote working. Their “learn, care, share” values have also benefited their customers and the wider community. Over 1,000 people signed up to their free online program in April to get help shifting face-to-face training to online.

From the outset at Elucidat we had three core values: learn, care and share. These are woven into the fabric of our culture and how we operate as a business. We put people first and use these values to guide how we support our employees and our customers. This has helped us come together even more as a team in the face of the COVID-19 crisis. We’re delighted to have been recognized as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces – and the best in Brighton. It’s a real testament to each and every member of our team.” – Steve Penfold, CEO at Elucidat.

Everyone has felt the impact of COVID-19, but Elucidat have worked hard to minimise the effects on their staff and customers. Our well-being as employees has been paramount. The leadership team not only ensured we could observe social-distancing by working from home, but shipped us the equipment and tools we needed to set-up a comfortable and productive home office. They’re constantly looking at new and people-centered ways of connecting us remotely, encouraging the water-cooler style
conversations as well as the business ones. Customers are at the heart of what we do, so being fully supported by Elucidat has meant we can extend that extraordinary level of support to them, helping them in difficult times. As an environment for growth and community, Elucidat is amazing. And it truly deserves its ranking as one of the UK’s best places to work.” – Carmel Anderson, Senior Marketing Executive at Elucidat

Understanding the perspective of employees is key to building a successful workplace environment. To determine an organisations ranking, Great Place® to Work administers their Trust Index survey® to employees which represents 3/4 of the final score. The remaining quarter of the score comes from the Culture Audit®, a business-driven questionnaire that uncovers and evaluates the organisation’s HR and leadership practices, policies and culture.
