YFM Equity Partners wins Best VCT Investment Manager of the Year Award

Thursday 3 November saw more than 400 industry professionals come together at the Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel, Mayfair for the second annual Growth Investor Awards, organised by Intelli-gent Partnership. The awards were created to recognise innovation and impact in UK investment man-agement, to highlight the importance of venture capital schemes and the industry's contribution to job growth and wealth creation, and to honour all those involved in putting investment to work in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

YFM Equity Partners won the highly coveted Best VCT Investment Manager Award at the 2016 Growth Investor Awards. The award was open to any investment manager specialising in Venture Capital Trusts, and was judged on investment volume, impact on the investee company, product development and adviser outreach.

The award was presented to YFM Equity Partners by Tim Farazmand of LDC. YFM Equity Partners fought off strong competition from Albion, Beringea and Foresight Group.

Daniel Kiernan, Research Director at Intelligent Partnership, explained why the judging panel selected YFM Equity Partners:  “Demonstrating a strong performance track record and the ability to adapt to changes, judges also liked the active role YFM takes, working closely with their portfolio businesses to deliver growth potential.”

Commenting on the award, Eamon Nolan, Portfolio Direcetor at YFM Equity Partners said: “The recognition of the impact that YFM has made in terms of investment returns and wider economic impact through supporting the growth of UK small businesses is something of which we are very proud. We have been long term supporters of the small business sector and will continue to be for many years to come.”

The night also featured keynote speeches that highlighted to importance of companies using tax advantaged venture capital schemes to help them scale up quickly, as well the need to support SMEs that are creating jobs, generating tax revenue and helping to drive Britain’s economic recovery.


YFM Equity Partners claims runner-up spot for Exit of the Year - President Engineering Group

YFM Equity Partners achieved second place in the Exit of the Year Award category at the 2016 Growth Investor Awards. Sponsored by Bovill, the award was judged on investment performance against initial strategy and targets as well as the value added to the investee business by the fund manager.
