Investor Workshop 2013
YFM’s 18th investor workshop took place on Wednesday 6 February 2013 and was held at Lords Cricket Ground, London.
These events always attract well in excess of 100 Shareholders who are interested in finding out more about their Company, industry knowledge and to hear from investee companies. This years’ was the most well attended with more than 200 attendees. The guest speakers at this event were:
- Martin Churchill - Editor Tax Efficient Review - who provided some insight on the Retail Distribution Review, and CP12/19
- Scott Morris – Managing Director of Display Plan - which provides design and procurement services for “point of purchase” display equipment
- Wayne Blakemore - Managing Director of Selima - a provider of payroll and related software services to the public sector
David Hall, Managing Director of YFM Equity Partners gave the last presentation, updating shareholders on their Companies and the Fund Manager. For a copy of David's presentation click here.
2013 was the second year in which YFM ran break-out sessions for Shareholders. This was as a result of a shareholder survey that was conducted towards the end of last year in which Shareholders said that they wanted to understand more about the Fund Manager, how YFM makes its investments and what we do to look after and manage our investee companies. So many investors wanted to be part of the groups that we had to hold 5 of them! Other investors decided to take part in the tour of Lords.

YFM’s 17th investor workshop took place on Thursday 9 February 2012 and was held at the Royal College of Surgeons in Lincoln Inn Field. London.
These events always attract well in excess of 100 Shareholders who are interested in finding out more about their Company, industry knowledge and to hear from investee companies. The guest speakers at this event were:

Investor Workshop 2011
The 2011 Investor Workshop was held on Wednesday 9 February at the British Museum in London and was a great success.
With presentations from the Fund Manager, investee companies and external speakers with question and answer sessions following each speaker. The speakers addressed recent trends and changes in the VCT industry as well as potential changes in the next few years.
